Electricity and cleaning services are not included in the rental. The students occupying a cluster, must arrange the purchase of electricity for the pre-paid electricity meter and the cleaning of the bathroom and kitchen, among themselves.
Uncapped wifi services are provided to all students for their use only. Should a student fall into arrears with their rent or other liabilities, their wifi access will be disconnected.
A fibre network is installed throughout the building for those who want to subscribe for their own internet service.
Residents who subscribe to DSTV must make use of the existing fibre network. No private satellite dishes or other signal reception devices may be mounted on the building.
Lar Shei has access control by way of a tag system.
Security cameras are installed in strategic places as a deterrent and to provide recorded information after the fact, but cannot guarantee the safety and security of residents and their property.
It must be borne in mind that generally security is as good as the discipline and co-operation of the residents concerned.
No on-site laundry facilities are provided, but there are various laundry services located nearby
